I started running back in February, and decided to use a pair of these socks (had them already purchased at the time). Had run about 1400 km since (including Yorkshire Marathon), using that pair for about 1200 km, and it is still in acceptable condition. The big toe area is very close to get holes on both socks, but hanging on, also they are a bit worn in places, but never expected them to last so long. After finishing Yorkshire Marathon I thought about retiring them and keep them as a souvenir, but then thought to keep using them to see how long they will last. A month later, they still are my socks for running. Also, I usually wash them after 2 or 3 runs, they are not smelly and feel fresh before every run.
Bought these recently - even with minimal wear and correct washing, there are already holes in toe sections and a heel wool has gone leaving just mesh. Not worth the price even at half price. AVOID

Merino is naturally soft and breathable, but it can be more delicate in high-wear areas. Even so, they shouldn’t be wearing out this quickly, so we’ve gone ahead and issued you a refund.

I wear one of these pairs nearly daily. Just the go-to pairs in my drawers as they are always comfortable, keep my feet dry & cool during summer and warm during our mild winters (Auckland, New Zealand)!
These have been a good buy. They fit when I wear normal shoes or walking boots. They keep my feet lovely and warm . They wear well and wash well and keep their shape well. They let my feet breathe and don’t sweat.
